Drip — Book Insights
What does Drip do?
Each time you open a distracting app you've wired up, Drip shows a 60-second insight from a bestselling book first. Read it, then continue — or skip.
How do I set it up?
Drip walks you through it during onboarding. You choose an app (like Instagram), then Drip helps you create one iOS Shortcuts automation that opens Drip whenever that app launches. It takes about 5 minutes and is a one-time setup.
The setup uses the Shortcuts app — is that normal?
Yes. iOS only lets apps react to other apps opening through Shortcuts "personal automations." Drip's in-app guide shows each step. Make sure "Run Immediately" is on and "Notify When Run" is off so the automation fires silently.
Drip didn't appear when I opened my app.
Check that the Shortcuts automation is enabled (Shortcuts app → Automation tab), that "Run Immediately" is turned on, and that you completed the automation for that specific app. Re-open the app once to confirm.
Which books are included?
Atomic Habits, Deep Work, Indistractable, Thinking Fast and Slow, Four Thousand Weeks, Why We Sleep, Stolen Focus, Dopamine Nation, The Happiness Trap, and Breath — 270 lessons in all.
I keep seeing the same lesson.
If you close a lesson in under 12 seconds, Drip shows it again next time so it doesn't slip past you. Spend a little longer with it and Drip moves on to the next one.
How do I delete my account?
Open Drip → Settings → Delete account, then confirm with Sign in with Apple. This permanently erases your account and all your reading data. It cannot be undone.
What data does Drip collect?
Only an anonymous account identifier and anonymous usage events — no email, no name, no ads, no tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details.
